Subject : The Indian small coin RS 25 Paise is no more .
In December 2010, the Government had decided to withdraw the coins of denomination of 25 paise and below from circulation from June 30.
The main reasin behind was , Rising metal prices. Rise in metal prices and a drastic fall in usage are said to be the reasons for discontinuing the lower denominated coins.
The 25 paise would cast more than 25 paise so , RBI has anned the coin into the public .Now the lowest coin in the public was 50 Paise coin .Other coins include those of denominations Rs1, Rs2, Rs5 and Rs10.
In the past 1 paise, 2 paise, 3 paise, 5 paise ,10 paise and 20 paise, Now it's turn to join the small coin in the history of Indian currency RS 25 Paise or charane or chavanni , which can be called in the local language .
